Empowering Indigenous Students: Indigenia’s Scholarship Program

Opening Doors to Opportunity
Education is a powerful tool for preserving cultural heritage, fostering creativity, and empowering future leaders. Indigenia’s Scholarship Program is designed to remove financial barriers for Indigenous students, providing them with the resources they need to thrive academically and artistically. Open to students from federally recognized and unrecognized tribes, this program emphasizes inclusivity, equity, and the celebration of Indigenous identity.

Our scholarships focus on students pursuing their education at the Institute for American Indian Arts (IAIA), a premier institution for Indigenous arts and cultural studies. By supporting their academic journey, we aim to empower these students to share their unique stories, explore their artistic visions, and contribute to the preservation of Indigenous traditions through creative expression.

Each scholarship recipient receives more than financial support—they gain access to mentorship opportunities, community connections, and resources tailored to their needs, ensuring they are well-equipped to achieve their dreams.

Application Highlights

The scholarship program welcomes students from diverse creative fields, including: Photography, Jewelry, Film, Studio Arts, Creative Writing, Animation, Digital Art, Fashion, Sculpture and Glassworks

Applicants are encouraged to submit three current works, showcasing their talents and their connection to their cultural heritage. This portfolio demonstrates their passion and potential to make an impact in their communities and beyond.

Beyond Scholarships: A Commitment to Advocacy

Indigenia’s commitment doesn’t stop with financial support. Our Education & Advocacy initiatives include financial literacy workshops, business skills training, and direct sales opportunities to help students and artists gain financial independence. Through this multifaceted approach, we ensure that our scholarship recipients are equipped to navigate both academic and professional landscapes with confidence and integrity.

Your support is vital to the success of these talented students. By contributing to Indigenia’s Scholarship Program, you help pave the way for a new generation of Indigenous artists and leaders. Together, we can create opportunities, preserve cultural heritage, and empower Indigenous voices to be heard worldwide.
